The first one is the earliest family. This one is connected to my husband's Coltrane line.
Descendants of James TROTTER - 27 Jan 1999
1. James TROTTER migrated between 1738 and 1742 in to America. He was born 1690 ac. He died 18 Jul 1754 bf in Chowan Co., NC. He was a Tailor in Edenton, Chowan co., North Carolina.
He was married to Mary Unknown about 1710. James TROTTER and Mary Beard had the following children:
+2 i. Mary TROTTER.
2. Mary TROTTER was born in 1713 in Drummoral, Scotland. She died 27 Oct 1792 af in Edenton, Chowan co., North Carolina.
She was married to David COLTRANE (son of Patrick COLTRANE and Elizabeth STUART (STEWART)) in 1734 in Drummoral, Scotland. David COLTRANE was born on 7 Feb 1711 in Drummoral, Scotland. He died in 1743 in killed or lost at sea on a return trip to Scotland. He lived in Edgecombe Co., North Carolina. He was a Surveyor for the King. Mary TROTTER and David COLTRANE had the following children:
+3 i. William COLTRANE.
+4 ii. Eudoxie Jane COLTRANE.
5 iii. Jacob COLTRANE was born in 1738 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., PA.
6 iv. James COLTRANE was born in 1740 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., PA.
She was married to Laws PREDDY on 27 Jun 1745 in Chowan County, North Carolina.
She was married to John MESSHENGER on 20 Jan 1752 in Chowan Co., NC.
She was married to Robert WALLACE on 8 Aug 1754 in Chowan Co., NC. Robert WALLACE was born in 1690 in Drummoral, Scotland. He died in Drummoral, Scotland.
TROTTER Line 2
This line connects to the COLTRANE line mentioned above. I feel that is a very good clue that this TROTTER line is somehow connected to the above one. For more on the COLTRANE line see their page.
Abragail TROTTER - 27 Jan 1999
1. Wiiliam COLTRANE was born in 1775 in Edenton, Chowan co., North Carolina. He died on 3 Feb 1866. He was buried on 3 Feb 1866.
Wiiliam COLTRANE and Sarah FRAZIER were married. Sarah FRAZIER was born in 1780 in Edenton, Chowan co., North Carolina. She died in 1855. She was buried in Marlborough Friends cem., Randolph Co, NC. Wiiliam COLTRANE and Sarah FRAZIER had the following children:
+2 i. Jacob COLTRANE.
3 ii. Abner COLTRANE.
4 iii. Lindsay COLTRANE was born on 20 Jul 1816. He died on 13 May 1896.
5 iv. Martha COLTRANE was born on 17 Sep 1799. She died on 4 Nov 1875.
6 v. Elizabeth 'Beth" COLTRANE was born on 12 Oct 1803.
7 vi. Solomon COLTRANE.
8 vii. Jane COLTRANE.
9 viii. Rachael COLTRANE.
10 ix. Sally COLTRANE.

He was married to Abrigail TROTTER. <----
He was married to Rachael FRAZIER.
He was married to Christene JORDAN.
This Catherine TROTTER possibly was in Virginia, the BALL line was connected to my SUSONG line.

1. Catherine TROTTER.
Catherine TROTTER andJohn SIMS were married. Catherine TROTTER and John SIMS had the following children:
+2 i. Rebecca SIMS.
2. Rebecca SIMS was born on 16 Aug 1845. She died on 21 Feb 1934.
She was married to Thomas J. BROWN (son of Michael T. BROWN and Elizabeth BALL) on 5 Mar 1867. Thomas J. BROWN was born on 24 Jun 1827. He died on 12 Aug 1878.
