Just this past year 2005 , I discovered John B.
Stewart. I have a copy of John and Sally Harrison
marriage record. Where did John died? He seems to have disappeared in the 1860
census. Who were his parents?
In 1860 his son Clark was in Johnson County, Iowa living
with his grandparents William R. Harrison and Lucy Newman Harrison. Sad to say Clark died in the Civil War. We
think he was named for his Uncle Clark Harrison.
In 1860 Armilda Stewart John's oldest daughter, my
ancestor, was also in Johnson County, Iowa where she and her sister Zerilda Jane
married to Thomas Willis Field(s) and John Riley Nicholson. After then both sisters and their
families moved to Sarpy County, Nebraska.
John B. Stewart was born ac 1808 North Carolina. Possibly
married twice first Sally Harrison and then Frances "Fanny" Hughes. both of
these in Washington County, Indiana.
