Sept 2005 This past summer we made a break through on
this line. Only one generation but after years of looking for Armilda and
Zerilda's father we found him John B. Stewart and their mother Sally Harrison. The mother comes with a couple
of generations, but alas John B. Stewart's parents are a mystery. They had
a brother too Clark Stewart. Oh well
we genealogists love a mystery!!
First Generation
1. John B. STEWART was born in 1810 in North
Carolina. He died in 1855 in Louisa Co., Iowa. He was buried in 1855
in Rice Cemetery, Louisa County, Iowa. He was also known as John B
STEWART. He was also known as John Steward.
John B. STEWART and Sally HARRISON were married on 6 Apr 1827 in Washington Co., Indiana.
Sally HARRISON (daughter of William R. HARRISON and 'Lucy' NEWMAN) died in 1840 in Washington Co., Indiana. She was born in
Kentucky. John B. STEWART and Sally HARRISON had the following

Harrison STEWART was born in 1846 in Washington Co, Indiana. He Lived in
Johnson Co., Iowa in 1860 He died died disease on 11 Apr 1865 at the age of
19 in Beaufort, SC. Clark enlisted on 11 Apr 1865 in Iowa. He served in the
military on 17 Jul 1865 in Iowa. He was also known as Stuart. Clark was
buried in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC. See note below.
Second Generation
2. Armilda STEWART was born on 25 Apr 1838 in
Salem, Washington Co., IN. She appeared in the census in 1860 in Plattford,
Sarpy County, Nebraska. In 1870 she was a Keep house in Plattford, Sarpy
County, Nebraska. She Lived in Sarpy Co., NE In 1870 She appeared in
the census in 1900 in District 180, Precinct 6, Kit Carson County,
Colorado. She died on 29 Feb 1904 in Bethune, Kit Carson County,
Colorado. She was buried in Indian Mound Cemetery in Sarpy County,
Nebraska.
Armilda STEWART and Thomas Willis
