The September 11 attacks
(called September 11,
September 11th or 9/11),
were a series of four
coordinated suicide
attacks against the
United States on
Tuesday, September 11,
2001. On that morning,
19 al-Qaeda terrorists
hijacked four passenger
jets. The
hijackers intentionally
crashed two planes into
the Twin Towers of the
World Trade Center in
New York City, and both
towers collapsed within
two hours. Hijackers
crashed a third plane
into the Pentagon in
Arlington, Virginia.
When passengers
attempted to take
control of the fourth
plane, United Airlines
Flight 93, it crashed
into a field near
Shanksville,
Pennsylvania, preventing
it from reaching its
intended target in
Washington, D.C.. Nearly
3,000 died in the
attacks.
I remember that awful
morning! I was at
work as a manager
in a Senior
Citizen's Center.
Someone called and
said to turn on
the TV. We
could not believe
what we saw!
We were in shock
at the destruction
we seen. How
could this happen
in the USA!!!
It did and we will
never forget as I
am sure the
families of the
victims!
My Aunt and Uncle were
to fly from California
that morning. They were
busy packing and did not
hear the news. When they
got to the airport it
was all corded off and
no one could get in.
Planes
did not fly for a long
time afterwards, it was
scary when you heard the
first ones when they
were able to fly again.

Do
you remember how
our government
officials were
seen praying in
groups!
Don't turn from
God we need him in
our lives!
IN GOD WE TRUST !
ONE NATION UNDER
GOD!

knew I would use to make

"God Bless America"

This song was written for Kate
Smith by Irving Berlin in 1938.
No one can sing it like she did
with her heart and soul. You can

Commemorative Society to find
